We had a very enjoyable few days in this small but very comfortable gite. It is very quiet, with lovely walks in the forest – but make sure you have a map. There are lots of interesting places nearby, including Cluny Abbey and of course the well known Taizé community.

This is the second time we have stayed at La Tuilerie. Both times we have enjoyed the peacefulness and the space within and around the gite. We really enjoyed watching the little red squirrels playing with each other in the trees and listening to the woodpeckers busy every day.
We took several walks that Cees and Sue had laid out and the instructions were very easy to follow and accurate. Not what you can say of walks in the book you can buy at the tourist information office!
Again we enjoyed our experience at Taizé. The reason we chose La Tuilerie for the first time was that it was close to Taizé.
Now we have the feeling that we are really at home in this place. And this will most probably not be the last time we will visit.
