Stayed from 05-10-2008 until 12-10-2008For our week’s holiday we were looked for a peaceful place to stay near Taizé and we found that at La Tuilerie with Cees and Sue. On the edge of woods and meadows, we could come back after being involved in an intensive day in the Taizé Communauté. Taizé is very special. I can recommend it to anyone who is looking for a spiritual experience and values, far away from the madness of daily life. From La Tuilerie you can make many walks through the rolling countryside of Burgundy. Over narrow asphalted or grass paths, alongside vineyards, little rivers and meadows, villages and towns. We used a number of the carefully written, detailed walking routes laid out by our host, which were available from a folder. After a walk we enjoyed sitting in the garden behind our gite looking out over a field with white cows.
