Stayed from 13th June until 27th June 2009
Overall situation - Very good. Micro climate in South Burgundy is good. Fairly close to Autoroute and easy access from it. Cluny has good supermarkets
Situation - Very peaceful. Easy access to voie verte and close to Cormatin, which is a very pleasant village with a nice collection of shops, restaurants and bars. For us it is “Home from Home”
Ambience - A nice mixture of old and new. Like photo-portraits and Escher print which fits in with the Tuilerie’s surroundings, Although Eric’s favourite is “Metamorphosis”.
Space - Excellent. Nice to have so much space
Facilities - Very good with lots of attention to detail. Plenty of utensils. Superb table and nice large beds. Well appointed bathroom.
Information - Could not be better, but somehow we missed info on arrival time 15.00 Sorry!! Local map is excellent as is history of La Tuilerie
Prices - Competative for size & standard fo accommodation offered and situation of gites
Conclusion - We prefer upstairs/downstairs L’Etable. We like the personal touches (bread service at weekends and welcome meal) although some might not. Having landlords on site is good.
We will be coming again next year. One week definitely, two weeks probably.
