We went to La Tuilerie for a week’s walking holiday and weren’t disappointed.
Sue and Cees have a book full of walks they have written starting and ending at La Tuilerie itself which was very handy. We used those walks (ranging from 3 – 6 miles) and added our own extras to make some very varied walks from totally on the flat to challenging, we won’t forget the path to the Moutonnerie in a hurry! We walked into Cormatin each morning for a croissant and coffee at Les Bles D'Or and checked out our emails on their Wifi before heading off for the day.
One evening we ate at La Terrace which was excellent and the walk home helped us digest the rich French food!
A big thanks to Sue for picking us up and taking us back to the bus stop with our luggage, it would have been a long walk with all our stuff.
One tip for those flying in, we found out too late that Lyon is a better airport than Paris, the train journey from Paris was a bit long. All in all an excellent time.
Thank you Sue and Cees!
