Elisabeth & Graham from North London

Stayed from 19-06-2011 until 29-06-2011

We were fortunate to spend a few days in both gites, L'Ecuire and L'Etable, due to a change in our plans. Sue and Cees are very welcoming and helpful about the area and impressively multi-lingual. They are also surprisingly unobtrusive considering they live on site and this is their home. Both gites are economically but well equipped with well thought out furniture and use of space without any clutter. L'Etable has a lovely, light and spacious bedroom. The cool interior was very welcome during hot days. Bring a cardie when the temperature drops though.

L'Ecurie is surprisingly different, though just next door. Both the bedroom and sitting room are spacious, missed next door's sofa though. The bathroom is not as modern as next door's but it all works well. You get a better view of the garden and adjoining farmland, which is nice.

From the front door you can cycle, walk, run or drive as far as you want. Using La Voie Verte (cycle route) is a relaxing way to see the countryside, visit attractions and check out the many interesting villages. The nearby woods and hills offer excellent off-road cycling for the more adventurous.

In all, a perfect place for peace, quiet and relaxation.
